How tough are our vessels?
All our vessel basins are made from vitreous china. They comply with international standards for sanitary-ware in respect of density and glaze fit, chemical and stain resistance. Because they are completely vitreous, the body will not absorb water even if the glaze is damaged. We know of hundreds of successful installations and have never had a vessel fail in service.
Installation Of Basins
Fitting drawings are provided with each basin and on the relevant web page. They require a round cut-out in the vanity into which they can be semi-inset. Silicone sealant will hold them securely and prevent any seepage from the vanity surface. Standard waste fittings are available in a variety of styles. We have not yet seen one that will not fit. Metal waste fittings must not be over-tightened and should not be used to clamp vessels to a vanity surface. Installation is usually completed in under an hour.
Care And Use
Abrasive, acidic, or harsh chemical cleaners should be avoided on any ceramic surface. We recommend simply using hot soapy water, or a citrus based cleaner such as De-Solv-It for removing tougher grime.
